This password issue is ridiculous! I can’t believe you wrote this post over 2 years ago and they haven’t fixed it yet!! I wrote a complaint to linked in today. Y’all should, too. What a waste of our time.

This old blog post helped me out immensely. Been trying to change my LinkedIn password and simply could not get it to accept my new password. Turns out it was more than 16 characters long, once I changed it, no more problems. Thanks!!

yes, same problem here. And it’s not as though linkedin have any means of contacting support or help or forum or anything! Come on linked in folk – get it sorted!

Same problem. Sort it out LinkedIn – if it said max 16 characters, I would have made it max 16 characters!! No problem with special characters for me though.

Its a problem with the linkedin password field; wish they would publish what it accepts and does not!!! I had a frustrating time especially as I was trying ti ‘tighten’ my password!!!!
