I run a little cat sanctuary and all my cats are microchipped through Avid. Unfortunately Avid has come up with a billing system that causes more problems, e.g. every pet owner that has more than 3 registered pets ends up with multiple membership numbers. I for example had to call in once and get all errors corrected that had been made by setting up my accounts, like misspelled name, address, email, etc. by going through all the different membership numbers and the customer service representative correcting every singles one of them. I was glad that this particular customer service representative knew how to copy and paste and was not computer illiterate.
This brings me to another issues which is all submitted information is handled via physical snail mail letters and are transcribed by a human into the system, hence the errors in the first place.
Furthermore, every time my pet loses a tag I have to physically send in a letter for getting one tag produced for me.

You might have noticed that your Audible.com Wishlist functionality is currently reduced to sort only by date and that you cannot sort by author, title or price. Furthermore you might have also experienced blank pages and reoccurring books on several pages within your list and that only a few pages of your wish list can be viewed if you have a larger wishlist.

If you have set your phone set to automatically use Google Voice for calls you may run into the problem that when you are calling to get your credit card activated, for some reason, the system cannot recognize the number you are submitting, like “123456789#” although the financial institutions has your Google Voice number.

Coming from Austria and watching US movies I was always confused why shelters are portrayed as a negative in movies, like when Garfield gets caught by Animal Control and he needs to get out as quickly as possible; coming to the US and seeing what was actually going on – this is going to a local shelter and being referred to the long “diseased list” at the entrance, playing down the meaning of their cause of death like these animals died of some natural cause ever week – just blew my mind! Why is this happening? How can this happen? How could this even start happening?
