My Happy Cat

Zoey
My Happy Cat is about my personal experience living with cats. It provides information, tips and links. It is not a substitute for consulting and visiting a vet or a pet emergency clinic!
I had cats all my life and experienced – as it feels to me – every illness, from leukemia to kidney disease, to accidents, from broken bones to fatal car accidents. I want to share my knowledge and experience that I have gained living with cats.
Due to this bad economy and so many cats ending up on the street and in the shelters where they only get euthanized I ended up taking in abandoned and feral kittens and cats. I am not a member of any particular cat rescue organization and self-finance the accumulating costs. If you would like to donate in any form like cat food, cat litter or by helping out with a vet bill you can contact me for more information via email.

These are my personal wishes that I would like you to consider when you live in the US:
- Please do not take any animals to the shelters but rather to a rescue organization or even better try to take care of them yourself.
- Please help by adopting a cat or dog from the shelters to avoid the euthanasia of them.
- Please volunteer at any of the rescue organizations near or far from you (just to name a few):
- Dogs in Danger
- Fix Our Ferals (Hayward, CA)
- Purrfect Cat Rescue (Fremont, Newark, Union City and Hayward, CA)
- Strangest Angels Animal Rescue (Los Angeles, CA)
I realize that there is a vast majority of rescue organizations out there, but a simple Google search will help you out.
If you want to adopt an animal in need you can do a search via Petfinder to find an animal near you.
These sections are constantly growing. Please check in later for updates.
