CLEANING PRODUCTS

The Microfiber Magic Sponge- 5 Piece Pack is really great for cleaning up “accidents” on carpets. It works great with carpet cleaning products. The 5 piece pack lets you have sponges for different cleaning purposes. I have one sponge for the carpet, one for cleaning the bathroom, one for the kitchen, etc.

With Dyson Vacuum Cleaners vacuum cleaning is simply fun and it becomes quickly one of the favorite household tasks to do. :-)
Since in America upright vacuum cleaners are big in contrary to Europe where you mainly get canister vacuum cleaners, I was lucky to get a refurbished Dyson DC17 Animal Cyclone Upright Vacuum Cleaner for $199.00. And what can I say, I was amazed by its performance, I simply love it.

There is also the smaller Dyson DC25 Animal Ball-Technology Upright Vacuum Cleaner.

On Dysons website there is also the new Dyson DC28 Animal Cyclone Upright Vacuum Cleaner.

CRATES & KENNELS

The CLASSIC KENNEL INTERMEDIATE (24″ X 16.3″ X 14.8″) was my choice because it is very strong and long-lasting. I also like the secure-locking front gate. I got the bigger one so that I can transport more than one cat. There is also enough room to put in a pillow with a towel wrapped around for easy cleaning.

I got the Precision Pro Valu 6000 48L X 30W X 32H inch / 122L X 76W X 81H cm for dogs up to 11 lbs. The link provided shows the smaller Precision Pro Valu 42 X 28 X 30 Black. I got the bigger crate in order to be able to put as much into the crate to make it “livable” for my cat that had to be confined for several weeks due to a broken leg. I was able to put in a litterbox, a scratch post, food and water bowls as well as a cat bed. I use the divider to put it into the slider grove of my sliding glass door because my cats are able to open the screen.

CAT TREES

I own the Floor to Ceiling Armarkat A9501 Cat Tree. It was my first choice because it is an inexpensive top to ceiling cat tree and even looks good in contrary to some other high priced items. The customer service is also very helpful. Jane sent me replacement parts immediately for a part that did not fit right. Thanks Jane!

Since all the rope from the Armarkat cat tree was scratched off the poles it was time to buy a new big and affordable cat tree. My previous tree did not seem to be available any longer so I found this tree, the “Jungle GYM” Cat Tree Furniture Cando Bed House Pet Scratcher Post FC1.

FOOD

I use the Petmate Le Bistro Pet Feeder, 2-Pound Capacity, Bleached Linen for dry food.

My new dry food feeder is the PETCO Ultra Cat Feeder.

I own the large Petmate Deluxe Fresh Flow Pet Fountain. I got the bigger fountain because I have multiple cats. The advantage of having a fountain with a pump is that you also hear when it is time to fill up the water because the pump becomes louder when it is running low on water.

My new addition to water fountains is the Cat It Fresh and Clear Water Fountain/Drinking Dome for Cats Circulating Pump Cul – Cat It 50070 You can attach the food bowl to any edge of the water fountain or you can also leave it off the fountain which I prefer because my cats always drop the kibbles into the water. I ended up not using the food bowl for food but I leave it empty attached to the fountain in order to be able to refill the fountain when it’s low on water which it is very often do to the cats drinking from it but more so also due to the heat. Make sure that the dome sits level so that the water flows evenly. If the pump gets louder do not only add water to the dome but most important also to the base.

I own the PETCO Skid Stop Placemat in WHITE

and the PETCO Skid Stop Placemat in BLUE.

These placemats are easy to clean and help to keep the food area clean.

I also put a Pet Dining Mat infront of the placemat to cover also the area where the cats sit to eat. Some cats have the habit to put the food out of the bowl with their paw or to take a big chunk of the wet food out of the bowl and drop it where they are sitting to eat it.

TOYS

I got the Petstages Cheese Chase Cat Toy for my cats because it was one of the affordable toys in this category. And I was happy to find out that my cat liked it too! A little warning: the cats might play with it in the middle of the night and you could hear it if you have sensitive ears.

Another cat toy my cats like is the Cat Charmer.

My cats love the Colorful Springs Cat Toy – Thin – 10 pk. and the Colorful Springs Cat Toy – Wide – 10 pk..

This is going to be my next purchase, the Bergan Turbo Track Cat Toy. I plan on getting multiple tracks so that I can build a big race track where multiple cats can play with.
